  The comets were created from pipes welded to cut metal, welded to old valve wheels, and all painted in bright colors.

  Two lone, old valve wheels were mounted below the comets. Each wheel was painted just like the wheels of the comets.

  Some comets flew up toward the ceiling of the overpass. Other comets flew down toward the sidewalk.

  The only light under the railroad overpass was from the ends. So the sculpture was edge lit from both ends.
