The signatures of the artist and the paint supplier were at the bottom of the mural. A paragraph on the mural served as a sign of its meaning: As Justice, Pride, Faith, and Love build our communities, Stone, wood, metal, and sweat build our societies. But the keystone to our civilization is our passion for progress, and the greatness of our hearts, the cornerstone for our success.

A piledriver extended dramatically out from the surface of the paint. It was one of the tools used to create the BART tunnel.

A "Lucky Lager" truck hauled beer across the mural. Its right front wheel was the BART tube under the bay.

Another worker used a long pry bar to help with the construction of a bridge. Behind that worker's back was a cable car. Behind that worker's head was the Ferry Building.

The top of the mural showed the San Francisco end of the Bay Bridge. A meteor burned its way down through the atmosphere to strike one of San Francisco's hills.
