The deep red of a summer sunset splashed the upper right of the mural. A setting sun lit a palm tree from behind. These images evoked memories of a too hot, too humid summer.

The blue green bubbles of a summer river, or of a summer swimming pool, or of a hot tub at night under a nebula filled sky.

A bee hovered over the suggestion of a bee hive overflowing with honey. The suggestion of a bountiful summer, with plenty of honey for the bears.

The lower right of the mural showed wild flowers and grass with a California quail hidden amount the grass. Part of the wild flowers were California poppies.

The mother bear nibbled on green vegetable matter. Bears are omnivore, so the cub was attracted to green vegetation just because the mother was eating some.

A wider view of the mural as it was presented in context with the parking lot and a lamp post. Behind the camera was the intersection of 16th Street and I Street.
