To reach the California Palace of the Legion of Honor, one must travel up 34th Avenue past the golf course. About half way uphill, a glimpse of the sculpture came into view. It almost looked like a military cannon from this angle.

From the front, this sculpture had two arms raised in the direction of the California Palace of the Legion of Honor. Behind it were cyprus trees and a fabulous view of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Seen from behind, the sculpture was clearly on an island in the center of the parking lot. In the distance was the entry to the California Palace of the Legion of Honor. From this angle, the horizontal disk of the sculpture could be clearly seen.
