Three panels stood away from the wall and perpendicular to G Street so that a person driving past would not notice them. They were made of cut metal backed by a white perforated metal.

A bronze plaque was attached to the wall behind the art. It described "Plant Plaza."

A signature plaque was attached to the sidewalk just in front of the art. it read:

The art panels shown in context with the plaza. A uni-sex public bathroom entrance was behind the art. The wide walkway of Plant Plaza lay before the art.

The left-hand panel showed bugs, birds, and plants in silhouette. It also showed a tree above two pumpkins.

The center panel showed a large tree filled with birds overlooking a wide river filled with fish. Three geese stood on the shore of the river.

The rightmost panel showed two trees on the shore of the wilder part of the river. In the foreground, it showed four tall marshland birds and many dragonflies.

One bird complained to another bird in the top branches of a tree.

A dragonfly kissed the head of a bird.

Two owls spread their wings and looked out from the art. Notice that these owls had eyes and beaks that were welded on, instead of cut out.

Two hummingbirds shared the same flower.

A somewhat edge-on view of the art to illustrate the thickness of the metal and the precision with which it was cut.
