![]() A large sculpture rested on the plaza just outside the Eugene Federal Courthouse. There was no sign or plaque anywhere around the sculpture to identify the artist.

![]() From this view behind it, one could tell that it was a single piece of metal coiled in several directions. The smudge on its surface was the result of a million hand prints placed there over a long time.
