While walking along the sidewalk in the Rockridge area of Oakland, we happened on a display of carpets for sale.

Slippers were found to bask on a partly sun-lit carpet.

A common sight on University Avenue in downtown Palo Alto was this huge carpet store. Inside were many floor and wall racks displaying a vast array of area rugs. Once inside the noise from outside diminished greatly despite the front being so open to the street.

A pillow accented a chair in the living room's corner. That chair was set on the corner of an area rug. Notice how the pillow had been chosen to match the rug.
