Lou Seal the official Giants mascot, posed on the carousel an hour before the game was to begin.

Candy Land (not the game ) sold cotton candy, popcorn, sno cones, candied apples, and cold drinks.

The sign read, "Hot & Fresh" and featured French fries and a well groomed and happy corn dog .

One of the more expected carnival booths was the car race (sometimes done racing horses). A contestant rolled balls up an incline to advance a car. The first across the finish won.

One ride emulated the thrill of hang gliding. The patron lay down on the ride and flew face-first around a circle that varied in height.

One side of an event building was painted to depict clowns.

Located at the far back corner of the event lot were Pony Rides and a Petting Corral. Admission was free, but bags of food to feed the animals cost US $1 per bag. Pony Rides were at the opposite end of the Petting Corral and cost US $5 per ride.

Here, five cars raced toward an exciting finish. If you were that far ahead, would you stop and wait for someone else to catch up, or would you keep playing despite your lead?

Here the carnival was seen from the upper deck of AT&T park (the San Francisco Giants stadium). The carnival was somewhat small and occupied only half of one of the ball park's parking lots.

Ride tickets sold in booths near the ferris wheel. A handy ATM dispensed money next to the ticket booths. The use of paper tickets was very last century.

One contest used a water pistol attached to a hose in order to squirt water into the dog's mouth. Water caused a ball to rise along a vertical rail behind each dog. The first ball to the top won.

Cliff Hanger was the name of the hang-gliding ride .

A hall of mirrors and other diversions inside one aptly named building.

The official name of the ride was obscured from behind. But from the rear, a mother and daughter could be seen riding an old-fashioned tilt-a-whirl.

Lemonade and funnel cake were for sale near the back of the lot.

The Yo-Yo ride (a modern version of the Chair-O-Planes) was lit but not yet operating that night.
