On the way into the fair we encountered this sign that read:

Site Conditions
Welcome to fair! Watch your step! This is a natural wooded setting with dirt + grass paths. Tripping hazards + uneven ground exists + may be slippery if wet. Natural flora + fauna exist such as stinging insects + poison Oak. No Swimming! The Long Tom River is beautiful but dangerous + polluted. Please stay on designated pathways.

A large hand-painted map was posted on a stand in a clearing. It contained a "Legendary" legend. If the map could be followed, the location of "Toilets" and "Stages" could be found.

A sign that read, "I'd Rather Pay For any single celled organism or spores or even poop Than War." The sign was sponsored by, "Community Alliance of Lane County," and by "WAND Women. Power. Peace."

In previous years it was always difficult to find the fair's exit. This "Exit This Way" sign pointed the way, but it too was confusing. It took longer to exit the fair than was reasonable.

A "O.C.F. Vote G.O.T.V. Get Out The Vote" sign was posted high on a fence bordering the fair. On the sign, the "O.C.F." stood for Oregon Country Fair.
