A booth at the fair had automated the I Ching. You spoke your query, and two random trigrams would light overhead.

Two signs specified the kinds of questions you might use with the Ching-O-Matic. On the left were categories of questions. One the right was a description of difficult and avoided queries.

A guide was to the right of the Ching=O=Matic. The columns were, "Upper Trigram • Outer World." The rows were, "Lower Trigram • inner World." The intersection of a row and column resulted in a decimal number.

The rest of the booth was occupied by Yin and Yang banners.
