In a plaza across from the new Modern Art Museum in Karlsruhe, Germany was a small restaurant with outdoor seating. More a cafe, really, with pizza, burgers and fries, and other sandwiches and salads. This figure promoted fries by standing next to the door to the restaurant.

The sign read, "Hot & Fresh" and featured French fries and a well groomed and happy corn dog . This sign was found on the back of a trailer that sold snacks at the county fair.

Among all the foods sold at food stalls that afternoon were garlic fries. Garlic fries are a staple at all events in San Francisco. The garlic is finely chopped and sprinkled over freshly fried fries. The garlic is not cooked itself, so retains its full power.
