Three pumpkin plants rose from a patch of otherwise bare ground. The squirrel-eaten pumpkins of last season were buried last year. This year's new pumpkins grew from last year's seeds.

Our second pumpkin continued to grow under green leaves. Perhaps the still-green pumpkin is harder to notice under green leaves.
