Kids hung out on a large cross set on the plaza in front of the cathedral.

The welcome sign out front was in English. It read:

Welcome To The
Tower La
Merced Church
The Best View
In The City
Of Granada

One of the houses across the street from the church gave an idea of the neighborhood. This nice blue house belonged to the church.

Across a side street was a building under construction. Note that in a later photograph will be found a view looking down into the building from above.

A school bus was parked across the street from the plaza out front.

A spiral staircase led up to the bell tower. It was open for tourists and free.

A round window was found part way up the stairs.

Part way up was a defaced sign that at one time warned:
