Every Chirstmas, the folks who manage the 101 California building set these huge (over six feet or two meters tall) ornaments in the plaza. They were all built using fiberglass and this one in the foreground wouldn't roll because it had a flat base.

A blue ornament hung from a tree in a store window near Union Square. It was decorated with a fake star to lend it a fake religous glow. The chrome ball next to it reflected the street outside the window.

A red ball ornament hung from a Christmas tree it the middle of Union Squar in downtown San Francisco. Reflected in it was the fence surrounding the tree. Lights were lit that day, despite the sun shining brightly.
