A man worked outside the aviary. His job was to offer to sell you nectar to feed the birds. Behind him was a sign that read:

Inside was a sign that described lorikeets. It read in part, "The Aquarium Of The Pacific opened Lorikeet Forest in 2001."

Terry had a lorikeet perched on her arm so that it could feed from a small cup of nectar held in her left hand.

Kids of all ages enjoyed the lorikeets that afternoon.

A display described two of the lorikeet species present and showed on a map where they originated.

The lorikeets had many small toys available to help keep their lives interesting. There was also a piece of cardboard over the chain to give the birds a different texture to enjoy.

A metal fence divided the feeding station from the interior of the heated shed where the birds could spend their nights.

Two lorikeets perched on one arm and gently fought for a share of the nectar.

A sign outside the aviary read:

Our birds are full.
Nectar sales are on hold.
