A mermaid statue, named Coralee, was located next to Joyride Pizza on the Embarcadero sidewalk in San Francisco.

A sign was posted next to the Mermaid, "Coralee's" sculpture. It describe the sculpture, in part, as:

Coralee is a mermaid sculpture composed of recycled glass and mixed metals, originally created in Chatsworth House, Derbyshire, England, of the Peak District and symbolizes feminine strength, beauty, and environmental awareness.

A smaller sign was affixed to the Coralee mermaid sculpture. It read:
"Caution
Do Not Climb
The Sculpture
No Trepar
La Escultura"
[the same warning in Chinese]
