The front of the Mission Rock Resort faced Terry A Francois Boulevard. The upper portion was painted a dull gray with white window trim. The bottom, however, was decorated with recycled wood.

Ivy began to grow up the front of the recycled wooden front of the building. The green of the climbing plant created a nice contrast to the colors of the wood.

Orange flowers bloomed in the climbing plant. Their presence gave the scene a fresh spring-like feeling in October.

The recycled wood still carried its original colors from its prior use. Deep blue, pale yellow, and green contrasted with sections of bare wood.
