Jack London Born On Third Street
A plaque on the side of an office building on Third Street in San Francisco said that Jack London was born on 615 Third Street. It was in a house that burned during the 1906 earthquake.

Former Aroma Of Coffee
A plaque in sidewalk just outside the old Hills Brothers Coffee building suggested the former aroma of coffee that greeted cars on the commute into the city over the Bay Bridge.

Amazingly, the Y underwent a name change
A plaque on the face of the Embarcadero YMCA showed that it had origianlly been called, "The Army Navy YMCA."
