Cardboard boxes had been flattened and piled on the sidewalk. Had they been put in a recycling box, the would have become recycling, but on the sidewalk, they had become litter.

Behind Gate

Litter was scattered over the floor behind a gate that prevented access to a door. Among the litter was paper tied with a rubber band, pink cardboard that once contained a product, and a water bottle.
