Three objects lined the sidewalk in front of the Ferry Terminal. Each was either embedded in, or bolted to the sidewalk. Together they were named, "Not Your Average Abalone."

The artist's signature was welded onto the base of the X O sculpture. It read, "Bullock 90" for Benbow Bullock 1990.

One of the three sculptures resembled a giant three-tine fork.

The center sculpture of the three resembled an O balanced atop an X. It was to the base of this that the signature was welded.

The sculpture, with four upside-down letters L, had the official sign attached to it. That sign read, in part:
