A modest sign marked the entrance to "Owen Rose Garden." During the week, there is lots of free parking in the park.

Large trees grew in the center of the parking lot, thereby providing shade for parked cars.

A wooden wall in the center of the parking lot specified the rules for behavior inside the park. For example, "Park Closed 11PM-6AM," and "Enjoy Eugene's Smoke-free Parks."

A modest sign at the start of the path into the park read, "Please do not pick flowers."

Thousands of rose flowers bordered the park and were dwarfed by large trees.

Many kinds of plants grew in the garden. This was one example that was not a rose.

A metal bench just off the trail feature hands. The hoop over the bench was slowly being covered with a creeping rose.

Plants grew in designs along the fence that bordered the rose garden. These particular designs were viewed from just outside the rose garden looking inward.

One type of rose growing inside the park was this Interama Floribunda with dark, glossy red petals.

A gardener's vehicle was parked on the path, and a gardener was bent over tending to the roses.

Inside a covered area just off the parking lot, were three picnic tables available for folks to enjoy lunch.
