A sign at the path down to the beach listed "General Warnings," such as, "Watch for sneaker waves." It also listed "Prohibited Activities," such as "Do not feed wildlife."

Two women walked south on the beach with a medium sized dog. The crossed a storm-drain stream on a hazy but warm afternoon.

A resort was built on the low cliffs bordering the beach. Called the Chinook Winds Resort, its drab design looked like a Soviet era building in Russia.

The beach was so wide and long that it created a feeling of privacy because of its sheer scale. Here, a family gathered to watch a child who played in the sand. This family was secure in its feeling of being alone on the beach.

Large rocks rose from the water just off shore from the beach. The few people walking the beach that afternoon demonstrated how large the rocks were.

A family was just exiting the beach as the afternoon came to an end. They had to carry out everything they had carried in. Clearly the mother carried the lion's share.
