The end of NW Beach Drive formed a loop with a yellow curb where folks could drop off visitors to Nye Beach. Inside the loop lay picnic tables, benches, and a garbage can.

A small stream through the beach marked the end of Nye Creek, which divided the beach into north and south sections. The weather was overcast but balmy that day.
