Fruit trees in full blossom drew families into the interior among tall grass and wild-flowers, where the father photographed the blossoms.

A sign on a gingham covered table gave the prices for fruit being sold:

Apples 75¢ ea.
Oranges 75¢ ea.
Lemons 2 for $1.00

A picnic area had been set up on the front lawn of the farmhouse. Folks brought children, picnic baskets and blankets to cover the grass.

Of several activities for children were the use of relatively huge wands to create relatively gigantic bubbles.

Bare trees now bordered empty fields after the winter rains and facing a hot summer ahead.

An aqueduct ran through the center of the farm with only a couple of places to cross to the other side.

Part of the farm was a petting zoo for children. There were horses and goats and sheep to pet.

Walking the farm grounds, one could not help but stumble upon one scenic photo-opportunity after another.

The dry road was used by those on their way back from picking. Others walked the less-dry dirt while looking for promising rows of leftover asparagus to pick.
