Raised garden beds were constructed from 2x4 and 1x4 cedar attached together with galvanized screws and bolts. The beds were individually plumbed with 1/2" plastic irrigation pipes.

Strawberries

Three long raised bed planters were filled with strawberry plants. Those plants were covered with frosted plastic sheets to protect them from freezing over the winter.

The Beast

Our second stone raised garden bed was located in the back yard. It was called the "Beast." internal link It was lower than the monster in the front yard. It had the start of a wisteria covered arbor behind it.

The Mini-Beast

Another raised garden bed was constructed next to the back patio. It was called the "Mini-Beast" internal link (although some call it the "Well"). It had starter plants inside it, including Two toad lilies and the remains of tulips.

The Snake

A brand new raised garden bed in the back yard was called the, "Snake." Its construction was incomplete. It was filled with chunks of grass dirt removed from the path. That dirt was then covered with cardboard, a thick layer of compost, and mulch on top.
