Forest, Around The Cascade Head Trail

![]() The forest in areas was so dense that we could only see a short distance from the trail. Of course this was in June so all the trees were fully covered in leaves.

![]() This forest saw enough rain and fog for moss to grow on branches. This particular branch was decorated with a considerable selection of moss.

![]() A few large leaves were textured with brown spots and holes. The result was a lovely composition that could make a nice leaf art print.

![]() When the forest cleared and opened up a bit, this tree could be seen backed by the sun. Its oldest and lowest branches were bare.

![]() Here was a tree whose moss covered branches wandered and turned in a pattern reminiscent of mountain roads.

![]() In areas, this forest looked so lovely that it must have been intentionally landscaped or designed by a brilliant gardener. A fine example of the natural look.

![]() A few times the forest widened out into glades such as this one. A good spot to camp if camping were permitted. Unfortunately, we never saw deer in these glades, and only saw a deer much later when it crossed a paved road outside the forest.
