The forest in areas was so dense that we could only see a short distance from the trail. Of course this was in June so all the trees were fully covered in leaves.

This forest saw enough rain and fog for moss to grow on branches. This particular branch was decorated with a considerable selection of moss.

A few large leaves were textured with brown spots and holes. The result was a lovely composition that could make a nice leaf art print.

When the forest cleared and opened up a bit, this tree could be seen backed by the sun. Its oldest and lowest branches were bare.

Here was a tree whose moss covered branches wandered and turned in a pattern reminiscent of mountain roads.

In areas, this forest looked so lovely that it must have been intentionally landscaped or designed by a brilliant gardener. A fine example of the natural look.

A Forest Glade

A few times the forest widened out into glades such as this one. A good spot to camp if camping were permitted. Unfortunately, we never saw deer in these glades, and only saw a deer much later when it crossed a paved road outside the forest.
