The new sign was on wooden legs. It read, "Siuslaw River South Jetty, Constructed 1910 - 1917." This Jetty was build by the "US Army Corps of Engineers."

Another sign read: "All Motor Vehicles Prohibited on Beach May 1 - September 30," And "Street Legal Vehicles Only October 1 - April 30 Monday through Friday Only except Legal Holidays." A second sign read, "Please Remember! Fireworks are Prohibited On all beaches and in Oregon State Parks."
