The pale yellow hellebore bush had its flowers beaten down by a long winter of rain. Around them was a dusting of white flower petals from an overhead tree.

The rain finally ended and the flowers of the white hellebore opened wide with great enthusiasm. Many more flowers this year than last.

As the month of March advanced, many more flowers bloomed on the white hellebore to the right of the driveway.

The first two blooms revealed a dark center. Rain was still causing the petals to bend down.

The first flowers were beginning to bloom on the white hellebore planted next to the driveway.
