U.S. Walls, As Found Structure Aspects

Part Of A Concrete Wall
The lower part of a former concrete wall still ran to the sidewalk's inner edge. The land around it grew in a profusion of ivy giving the wall a pastoral look despite being in the center of town.

Snail On Winter Ivy
One of the brick walls that decorated the garden and park of Five Embarcadero Center was covered in winter bare ivy. A lone snail hung onto that wall, shaded all day from sunlight.

Hash Marked Wall
White and black hash marks decorated this wall found on Howard Street in San Francisco. It almost looked like someone had tried to turn a plain gray wall into a work of art.

Shadow Cast On Warm Wall
Reflection off a nearby window lit the center of the shadow masking this section of painted wall. The effect was an interplay of three different warm colors.

Afternoon Light On Weathered Wall
Afternoon light grazed this old painted wall and put that weathered paint into sharp relief. You can almost feed that rough surface in this photograph.

Roll-up Door Welded Closed
A metal roll-up door on the street face of Pier 38 had been welded closed. One time graffiti had been washed off but unsuccessfully so.

Once Colorful Wall
Another painted wall on the outskirts of Tomales had paint so old and cracked that it had fallen off the wood leaving unfinished wood behind. This house had probably once have been a deep red and bluish gray.

Dried Paint On Old Wall
Wall of an old home just outside downtown Tomales. The wall's paint had dried and cracked, creating an oddly appealing surface worthy of being framed.
