![]() On a park near the edge of town irrigation pipes and a rainbird (impact) sprinkler were ready to irrigate. The odd red puddle may have indicated the presence of fertilizer.

![]() In the San Francisco zoo, a sprinkler head was ready to spray vegetation just outside the hippo enclosure. The flap on the top was spring loaded and would open when water pressure caused an irrigating spray, then close again.

![]() A rainbird (impact) sprinkler was mounted atop a blue steel pipe in the Arboretum. The sprinkler was roughly four yards (four meters) above the ground and showed no sign of having been used so far that day.
