Prison Toilet

When Alcatraz was still an operating prison, from 1934 to 1963, each cell had a single sink and toilet at its rear. The cells were small and appeared very uncomfortable.

This toilet could have been the aftermath of a prison riot. Or perhaps it was the result of occupation by Indigenous Indians external link from 1969 to 1971. Or perhaps it was simply the result of neglect.
