The keel of the boat rested on wooden blocks on the asphalt surface of a parking lot. A telephone pole sized block kept the boat from falling over. Wedges below the tall block were hammered in to make the block tight.

A block at the stern end of this boat was reflected in water left over from the previous day's rain. Notice that this block is angled, whereas the blocks holding up the boat on the other side of the fence were vertical.
