A sign that read, "Eugene Station," formed an arch over the pedestrian entry to the downtown Eugene, Oregon bus terminal.

A wide bus driveway lay between the two pedestrian entrances. Buses were coming and going and pedestrians crossed that driveway safely. That was because everyone, including bus drivers and pedestrians, seemed well aware of each other.

Wide overhangs protected bus riders from possible rain. Also several large, well placed clocks showed the correct time so that bus arrivals would be accurately anticipated.

The bus bays were identified by letter rather than by route numbers. Notice the arrow pointing to Customer Service where tickets, day, children and senior passes could be obtained. Note that the LTD allows seniors to ride for free but the pass to do that costs a one time fee of $3.00.

Several guides were present to show the correspondence between bays and bus route numbers. Those guides also showed where to find the bays relative to your location.

Here a 52 Irving bus was parked at bay E to await time to board passengers. Note that some bays, such as this one, supported more than one route. Here Bay E supported both the 51 and 52 River Road routes.

The central walkway of the station facing south toward 11th Avenue. At the end of this walkway near to 11th Avenue was the Customer Service Building.

Each bus bay had a sign describing the route or routes it supported. Here was the part of one sign describing the 51 Santa Clara bus route and times.

A different mosaic was on each arch over each driveway. This one was over the 10th Avenue driveway.
