A combination of shade from park trees and a freeway created a somber mood on a street past Dogpatch in San Francisco. A compact car crossed the intersection, and much further away a bus approached. To the left, power lines marched nearer, and on the left, street lights were not illuminated during daylight.

While on a bicycle ride one afternoon, we crested a hill and found this unusual view of the underneath of a freeway.
