![]() The Spotted Jelly is called that because of its spots. Also called the Lagoon Jelly because it is it is mainly found in the lagoons of the southern Pacific Ocean.

![]() The Spotted Jelly has stubby legs thus making it attractive as a pet. The are chiefly sold as novelty pets along the Pacific coast of Japan. As pets they are called takokurage which means "octopod" or "rammer."

![]() The Spotted Jelly does not have a single mouth like most other jellies, but rather has clumps of "oral arms," which contain many small mouth openings. The brownish tint comes from algae, which is another source of food for this jelly.
