Snow still covered the mountains on the return Amtrak trip through southern Oregon. The view outside was almost monotone. We passed a fallen tree behind two new thin trees, the combination of which formed the capital letter H.

A set of stairs led down from the picnic area to the beach. Along the inside edge of that stairway was a strip of old rusted steel. Part of that rust was this very clear, capital letter H.

A round table was found leaning against a wall just outside the entry to an apartment building. Its under-part was immediately recognized as the letter H.

The top of a log showed signs of being used to chop wood and cut food. Many parallel cuts were evident. At one point on the log, a single horizontal cut divided the parallel cuts to form an H.

Electric buses required both contacts to be overhead. At intervals, insulated horizontal braces were attached to maintain a safe spacing. Here, the brace was found under a freeway overpass.

The letter "H" was found formed from the vertical posts and horizontal brace at fence's end.
