Butterfly Parade, At The Oregon Country Fair

![]() Butterflies appeared as a parade coming down the pathway. Each participant wore a blue suit, a butterfly head mask and used arms and sticks to flap the butterfly wings.

![]() The butterfly wings were translucent so daylight overhead caused them to appear to glow. The dark suits and the glowing wings gave the appearance of actual butterflies flying down the pathway.

![]() Some of the butterflies were carried by people on stilts. The effect was the appearance that those butterflies were flying higher than the other butterflies.

![]() Two flowers paraded along with the butterflies. Those flowers wore stem green suits and sunflower-large masks that appeared to track the sun.

![]() The parade of butterflies lasted only a few minutes but was an entertaining nonetheless. The parade ended with a man (not shown) dressed like an outdoors-man and carrying a butterfly net. His appearance caused the fairgoers to laugh.
