The admission booth is where you handed in your ticket and got your forearm stamped for reentry. The sign on the admission booth read, "COF Loves You."

Intersections also were wider than the normal pathway and so tended to be less crowded. Here, several folks were paused in an intersection to enjoy a snack.

The fair featured wooden restrooms at intervals throughout. The only way to tell if a booth was occupied was to tug on the door. If it opened, it was available.

The fair did an excellent job of splitting the waste stream. Food and drink were served using compostable materials. Plastic bottles, cans, and glass were separated, and finally whatever was left went into the small "landfill" container.

A small sign labeled the area as "Archaeology." Here was a resting area where folks could sit on split-log benches and rest.

The Oregon Country Fair was for three days a small city. The roads were dirt for people to walk upon, and the buildings were permanent and numbered.

In one area a man used a sprinkler can to moisten the dirt to keep the dust down. In other areas people used hoses or built-in misters to achieve the same goal.

A high booth allowed security to oversee the event. The line of people were there to use the ATM machine. The booth to the left was the lost and found. Also notice the mannequins sitting on roofs.

The Oregon Country Fair was just like a street fair, except that it did not have streets and the booths were permanent wood instead of temporary cloth.

Many streets were labeled where they started. Here was the start of Pike Street. Each street featured a different theme. Here, Pike Street featured clothing. Other streets featured fresh organic fruit, or solar powered devices, for example.

As the afternoon wore on, the fair became progressively more crowded. Yet, despite the crowds, the fair was so large that solace was easily found for folks that needed it.
