In the back yard of the Carter home, an apple tree was just starting to yield edible fruit. The sky was was overcast the afternoon this picture was taken.

While on a walk to find shots of cyclone fences, this apple was found jambed into one such fence. It had been partly eaten, then stuck between the wire links. The apple was too old to tell if it had been discarded because it had turned bad, or if it had still been edible when discarded.

An apple was found growing in the garden out front of the Madonna Inn's Restaurant. This was not a full apple tree. Rather it was just a short (barely knee high) cutting that had already produced a full sized apple.
