![]() The entrance to the Rose Garden was just over a pedestrian bridge from El Prado Street. Park Boulevard paralleled the garden (off camera to the right). The garden was open from 10:00 a.m. to Dusk.

![]() The Rose Garden was an award winning All-American Rose Selection Display Garden containing over 2,400 rose bushes in 180 varieties. The garden was in peak bloom during April and May, but many roses were also in bloom from March through December.

![]() Surrounding the Rose Garden was parkland with tall mature trees. Other than the occassional street noise from Park Boulevard, the garden was a placid and relaxing place to escape.

![]() The arbor in the rose garden was large enough for a wedding ceremony, but small enough for a feeling of privacy. Here was a couple resting on a bench and looking outward toward the surrounding Rose Garden.

a tour of first the rose garden, and then the cactus garden
