A modest sign was etched into the granite blocks that formed the eastern entry into the Aids Memorial Grove. That sign read, "National Aids Memorial Grove."

A second sign, at the eastern entrance to the Aids Memorial Grove, read:

Please Respect This Space:
• Do Not Litter
• No Graffiti or Vandalism
• Do Not Throw Rocks
• Do Not Damage Plants

The path into the Aids Memorial Grove was shaded by trees on both sides. The path was made of asphalt and had gathered dirt over time.

A memorial was etched into a boulder alongside the path. It read:

The Magnolias
A Gift From The De Laveaga Family
In Honor Of
Jose Vicente De Laveaga
Whose generosity created De Laveaga Dell
And In Loving Memory Of The Many Lives And
Hearts That Have Been Touched By Aids.

Boulders arranged in a redwood grove provided a place to sit and meditate on the Aids pandemic.

A man sat on the base of a sign and listened to the self-guided tour on his phone.

The path surrounded a grass field. Signs posted in the field read, "Field Closed."

Looking back at the path that led in from the east. The redwood grove was to the left of the path in this view.

A simple bench was formed of a board laid atop stacked stones. This bench provided a place for the weary visitor to sit and rest.

Another sign was near the western entrance to the park. It read,

One of the few paths out from the Aids Memorial Grove began with three steps.

The "Hemophilia Memorial Circle" was formed by etching names into granite slabs. The names were of those who died of Aids. In addition to names were the four compass points. A few of the names were, "Bill & Kathy McAdam," and "Todd Smith," and "Carol Casper M.D."

Some of the names were partly shaded by surrounding trees. A few of these names were, "Joseph Sliverman," and "Brian Joyce," and "Tim Haas."

A staircase led both up and out of the grove, as well as down into the Aids Memorial Grove.

A large boulder was painted with a sign and surrounded by pink flowers. That boulder and sign formed the western entrance to the Aids Memorial Grove. Behind the boulder was the staircase down into the grove.
