![]() The east end of Alvord Lake Bridge, a bridge on Kezar Drive that passed over a tunnel connecting Alvord Lake to the rest of Golden Gate Park. The silver fence to the left was part of grounds restoration. The gates at this end of the tunnel could be closed.

![]() The concrete walls of the tunnel were not smooth. Instead they had the almost natural feel of a dug tunnel.
