Fresh native grass had just been planted next to the path leading into the new Downtown Riverfront Park.

Two kinds of seating were provided. A group of two blue tables with matching chairs created a pleasant spot to picnic. Beyond the tables and chairs was a self-shading set of three benches.

A regular bench was mounted on the bicycle path. That bench had its back to a large field of dirt behind a portable fence.

A long retaining wall, for a raised garden, was protected with metal strips to prevent skateboarders from using it.

The river ran fast with spring snow melt. It looked dramatic beyond a few trees.

A non-self-shaded bench also possessed a dramatic view of the river.

A large roof covered a dozen blue picnic tables with matching chairs. The covered area was the north-most end of the new Downtown Riverfront Park.

That covered area had a wonderful view of the river and the (briefly closed) pedestrian bridge over it.

A modest restroom was provided for the crowds that would someday occupy this Downtown Riverfront Park.
