Because this rail line ran on a 914 mm (3 foot) rail spacing, the inside of the cars were not capacious. The aisles were so narrow that only one person could pass through at at time.

The floor was carpeted and the benches were screwed down to the floor. Note that the seat backs could flip from one side to the other, making the benches reversible.

The inside of the rail car as seen from the platform outside. Hardy folks could stand outside on a narrow platform and were able to get clear photographs. Others rode inside where it was warm.

Two trains made the trip. Ours and another just like ours but less crowded. Here we view the inside of that other train. Notice how seats could face either way.
