Edge of frame

At the corner of 4th and Bryant Streets, three horizontal reflective stripes were found attached to a telephone pole. When viewed near the edge of frame, the upright is implied and seen, but is actually not there.

Part of the tear-down of the Central Freeway revealed an area with a safety fence and a ladder. Both objects could be viewed to create a letter E.

Barbed wire atop cyclone fence

As a result of the 911 attack, security was beefed up in the Bay Bridge maintenance yard at Bryant and Main Streets. Barbed wire was added to the top of the existing cyclone fence. When viewed near a barbed wire brace, the letter E was formed.
