Many people camped overnight in the Riverfront Park. Although the temptation might be to relieve oneself beside the park, the City wisely provided dozens of porta-potties. A sign advised the inattentive that "Restrooms" were "Available."

Protected grasslands were beside the trail across the bridge. The park management posted signs to prohibit camping beside that trail.

Extreme Fire Danger

Because of the long hot summer, grassland was dry and presented an extreme fire danger. This sign summarized that danger with, "Attention: No Fires."
