The Sandifur Memorial Bridge was a wide footbridge over the Spokane River and connected two previously separated parts of the Centennial Trail.

The concrete base of the Sandifur Memorial Bridge was massive and clearly able to resist future floods. The arches were decorative and made of laminated wood.

Strange red plants in the water under the bridge moved and undulated in the current.

Another bronze sign was embedded in the end of the bridge. It read,

People have begun to leave locks on the cables of the bridge. Although there are currently a few hundred locks, the bridge is so large that they appear sparse.

Old concrete piers remained behind after the demolition of the former railroad bridge.
