A decorated staircase up and out of the Koret Children's Quarters. Or, conversely, those same stairs could lead down and into the Koret Children's Quarters.

Tiles decorated by children formed the risers of the staircase. One tile feature a large eye watching folks approach. Another tile showed the sun shining down on mushroom shaped trees.

The next two risers featured blue tiles. Several were abstract. One showed flowers growing in front of a large sun. And another was signed by Clare.

Kelly, Elliot, and Loretta signed their tiles. Other tiles, done in blue tones, showed art.

Two red risers rose over the blue. One was signed by Judy. One showed white on red zig zags. Another showed two people standing side by side.

The red risers showed red flowers, a red fish, and red hearts.

Two risers featured red tiles and art on red tiles. Bunsky, Judy, and The Golden Gate Bridge showed up as art.

The top risers were yellow. Bauman was dead center, next to a smiley face. A peace (ban the bomb) symbol in yellow was near the top.

Two hearts appeared in yellow. One was yellow on yellow, the other was red on yellow. The sun was always yellow.

On the top riser, a yellow bird looked left. A man's face gazed out from the tile. The name Spencer was next to a car that went Vroom.
