The trunk of this tree had an irregular cross-section. It was a large, stout base to support a tall tree.

The leaves of this tree showed distinct signs of having been eaten by caterpillars and other insect forms. Perhaps that is why this tree grew so many leaves, to offset the loss of so many to food.

This tree formed a thick canopy overhead in true jungle style, soaking up all the sunlight at the top and preventing most from arriving at the ground.

This tree, here seen from a distance, can grow to over 30 meters in height.
