Murals surrounded the front of Carlin's Cafe as it faced Valencia Street at the corner of 14th Street. It wasn't a single mural. Rather it was a sequence of smaller murals.

The part of the mural to the left of Carlin's Cafe. It occupied a full wall and showed scenes from the story of San Francisco.

The mural continued even further left between the entrance to an apartment building and the garage door for that apartment building.

A headstone was painted on the wall of Carlin's Cafe. It read, "Loving Memory of Dennis & Elizabeth Carlin."

A vertical section of wall had the image of the Giant's Stadium at night drawn on it. Behind the stadium was the water's of McCovey Cove where kayaks would float during games in hope of catching home run balls.

A fancy dressed woman descended stairs and had a clock reading 4:10 on her chest. Behind her, a formally dressed man also descended stairs.

A rocket powered BART train sped along the left of the mural. Below the train, a welder used a torch to repair metal. The lights of the San Francisco Bay Bridge glowed in front of the man.

Water splashed as part of the mural nearest the sidewalk.

Coffee poured over a coffee tower that spilled down into a giant cup of coffee. Next to the fountain an abstract person sipped coffee from a normal sized cup.

Images of fire and protests decorated the narrow band above a doorway.

The 49er football team was drawn over the garage door. They were the San Francisco team for many years before they moved south to Santa Clara County.

The mural tumbled down the left side of the garage door. It showed players carrying a football behind the Super Bowl trophy. At the bottom a sign read, "Forty Niners 1999."

A closer view of the woman in the mural. The clock on her chest was actually the clock on the Ferry Building with the outline of the Ferry Building ghostlike in front of the woman.

The word "Carlin's" was painted on the wall above the front door entrance into Carlin's Cafe.
